Empower Refugees Through Zakat
Zakat is an Islamic religious obligation, typically involving the giving of 2.5% of one’s income or savings to charity. The literal meaning of the Arabic word Zakat is “to purify”. Giving zakat is compulsory for all Muslims who are in a position to give. There are several different ways in which zakat can be given, but it must always be given to those who are in need.
